Shazia joined Montium as Chief People Officer in November 2025. She has more than 20 years of global human resources leadership experience spanning the legal, academic, financial services, and non-profit sectors.
At Montium, she leads our overall people strategy which includes strategic leadership, talent management, culture and engagement, organization development, compensation and benefits, HR technology, compliance and employee relations. Her leadership is pivotal in aligning Montium’s people strategy with its business goals, strengthening community relationships, and positioning the organization for continued growth and expansion into new markets.
Prior to joining Montium, Shazia served as Chief People Officer at Emergent, where she led global HR strategy, recruitment, organizational development, and employee engagement. She played an instrumental role in designing organizational policies, coaching senior executives, and enhancing workforce retention. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions at Ropes & Gray LLP, State Street, and Sirva, where she specialized in global HR management, talent mobility, and workforce compliance.
Beyond her corporate role, Shazia serves as a Board Advisor at a non-profit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for young girls in underserved communities across India, Uganda, and the United States—a mission that reflects her deep commitment to equity, empowerment, and education.
In her free time, Shazia enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and their dog, Dasher.
